GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS(PART 1) (Matthew 4:19)

A lot of people get bored easily. I know a number of them. _They are flashing through my mind as i type. Am i exempted?..hehe

You wake up, go through that stuff,go to work, talk to clients, balance&prepare accounts,meetings upon meetings, intermittent breaks,get back home late,A wedding& funeral saturday with a churchy sunday...Above all, a virtual repeat.

It is a routine which never stops. *As we say, *Going through the motions*- which is to do something without any interest, enthusiasm, sincerety. To do or say something with little effort & sometimes in pretense because of its lack of importance.

We've all been going through stuff yet we keep asking ourselves... *WHAT?...WHAT NOW?...WHAT AGAIN?*

Peter& Andrew,as  fishermen had routine processes to go through.They *may* have been going through the motions.This is because as soon as the higher calling of fishing for men came, they responded immediately.

Beloved, *To avoid Going through the Motions*:
- *First,be prepared to endure the motions.* In this life &especially our part, it is difficult to know your purpose right from the onset &live it through. Even in knowing,you would have to go through a phase.

I believe, that is God's scheme of operation.So, be prepared to go through a lot of things by the side before fully diving into your God-given pool of fulfilment.

Next is to Find your Purpose&let me just say be sure of it.Thereby, asking yourself am i taking it for granted?...or trivializing it hence the lack of enthusiasm?

SO I SAY:
DON'T LIVE YOUR ENTIRE LIFE GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS RATHER LIVE THAT LIFE OF PURPOSE.

THOSE PEOPLE&US(Acts 9:10-22)

In the first 15 years of my life,i was going through the christian motion. _You are born into the christian home,go to church&go through all the religious processes_.

From then having been convicted somewhere at senior high level, i fully committed myself to him.
Many people go through these stages like i did.However,not all get to the point where they truly get to be born again or to fully commit to him.

In my twenty 'something' years of christian life, I have seen people like me. Also, I have seen people raised in the christian home, gone astray&come back.
*THE ABOVE ARE THE US*

Others go astray,we see them around but they are yet to be back in the faith. We still have those who are with us but are so lukewarm, carefree about the faith as if nothing is at stake.
*THE ABOVE ARE THOSE PEOPLE*

Acts 9 gives an accounts of one man who experienced the two.One we all adore-PAUL. Though Paul before his conversion persecuted christians,God told  Ananias to go& heal him making him ready for his use. We know how mightily God worked through him far beyond expectation.

My message this morning:
I see how people who are seen as 'those people' are condemned,judged,discriminated&neglected.
The difference between 'us' and 'those people' is 'GRACE'. It was Grace that found you not by anything you did.(Eph.2:8)

So,why look down,judge&condemn them.God loves them. He came to save sinners just as he did for you.
I have seen 'those people' totally condemned who amazingly accepted Christ &are doing GREAT. I've seen the 'US' brutally fallen to some 'common' sins 'Those people' won't even do.

There,they get to understand that it is his Grace&mercy that is holding them.Beloved, the same Grace that found you is looking for them through you.

They may get on your nerves, be a bad influence& can really hurt.The worst we can do is not to discourage &push them away but pray&intercede for them.You were&couldn't be any different.

Noone is beyond Jesus' reach. He found the Persecuting Paul,the Sensual Papa Shee & an Unworthy like me.

SO I SAY:
THOSE PEOPLE&US- Let the latter look for the former

QUESTIONS(PART 5)

This is where we ask simple,relevant,teasing yet interesting questions for you to ponder&draw out meaningful answers yourself as inspired by your maker.

The QUESTIONS now:

* What are your goals and aspirations???

* Is popularity or fame a part of it???

* Are you of the view that time is running out???

* Are you of the view that People,Friends&Colleagues are making it...so why not me???
(Marriage,Lucrative jobs,flashy cars are all key examples)

* Why not me when I also had that business idea or movie story that became a hit?
* Are you 'so' eager to make it in life?

* Do you even care if you will TREND for the most dirtiest,despicable or most controversial reasons?(It only has to get to you there)

Do you look around you today&say:
*I also have to be?

*I also have to belong?

Well, these are the questions for today. Clearly, dwelling on: Everyone wanting to be,Too Eager to make it,Fake Trends,Discontentment and failing to wait on God's time.

Let Christ be the basis as you answer these questions.

MEDITATE!(ECCLESIASTES. 9:4-10)

Let's  do *Meditate* this morning.

Now just to remind you that the book of Ecclesiastes is one of the proverbial  books  by King Solomon. Whiles  some of the verses are poetic others are in plain language.

Betterstill they all  require this- *MEDITATION*& as you do this, i know you'll  be blessed.

V.4 Anyone who is among the living has hope—even a live dog is better off than a dead lion!

5 For the living know that they will die,but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward,and even their name is forgotten.

6 Their love, their hate and their jealousy have long since vanished;never again will they have a part
in anything that happens under the sun.

7 Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart,for God has already approved what you do.

8 Always be clothed in white, and always anoint your head with oil.

9 Enjoy life with your wife, i whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun—all your meaningless days. For this is your lot  in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun.

10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.

*SO I SAY: MEDITATE!*

MASTERING THEM(John 16:33,1John 5:5)

Good morning to you all. Great to be back to serve you  On This Morning(Your All Round Devotional)

How many of us have been like the Prodigal son...not once,twice but on countless times?

How many of us have tried to stop  that habit or to just  stop doing that BAD, yet...?

How many of us can be bold to say  we don't know the basic things God requires of us?...We do,yet...?

Sometimes as  Christians, we behave like that stubborn child who clearly knows what not to do but still does it.

I'm sure the smooth balm of an answer we would want to rub on God is:
God we know  oo..but  i keep falling, i keep going back. How?...How do i surmount  this life challenge?...How do i face this problem?...How do i fight this temptation?...How do i run away from that trouble?

Beloved, the truth  is that troubles will never stop. So far as you don't cease to be here,they don't cease to be there.Brace yourself, Face them, knowing that Jesus has overcome it all. '...For in this world,you will have troubles, but take heart i overcome the world' (John 16:33). This is affirmed in Scripture.

Well, and just when you thought you had scaled over that challenge,another graduated one comes in a witty manner better  positioned than we are all to test  our faith.
And so we do not get acclimatise to them neither are we insulated or graduate over them.Worst of all,there is no perfectly worked out  strategy on earth  to overcome it all.

*With all being said,the ultimate solution to Mastering Temptations,Troubles &Life challenges is to let  Christ  Master you.Indeed,let him  be the Lord& master of your Life.Continue to Feed on his word  and allow his spirit  to lead you.Will today to be Consistent at this. That's all.

It may sound mundane  but it is the only&surest  way to mastering over the things of this world.

Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes  that Jesus  is the son of God?

SO I SAY:                                                  
This is all it takes to Mastering Them.
