*...In Playing the Devil's Advocate*(1Cor. 15:12-34)

_*I always remind myself of the worst things I will never be.*_
This is a personal quote which i often allow myself to cautiously engage in&I must say no matter the worst state;it further helps& solidify me not to be.
In Essence, making me run back to God and his Grace all the time.

*Playing the Devil's Advocate* is to argue against or attack an idea, argument or proposition even  though one is genuinely in favour of it.
Often times, when people play the Devil's advocate, it is mostly to further examine its strength, validity or details. Also, it is a conscious move to exhaust all possible avenues and know the best way possible. And here, we are looking at one that pleases God.

So,What if the Bible or God himself plays this devil's advocate. You can relate the Job situation between the devil and God himself.

However, In 1 Cor.15:12-, Paul sought to play the devil's advocate with this 'What ifs' which happens to be the basis of our faith. Check it out below...

_V.12-But *if* it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?_V.13  *If* there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised._

_14 *And if* Christ has not been raised, ourpreaching is useless and so is your faith.v.15 More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised._

_V.16 *For if* the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either.V.17  *And if* Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins._

Interesting stretch there from Paul. And so to have thought about this over 2 millennia ago, it tells you of what God anticipated will happen today which is actually  happening considering all the controversies& misunderstanding.

It was therefore imperative for Paul to capture this in scripture and further draw our minds to & the need to hold on firmly to this all important truth.

The fact that all these things are happening today should further strengthen our faith in God&his word.

*And so Indisputably&till date, noone has been able to disprove let alone wipe away the truth Jesus came, died, and rose again...For he's the way, truth and  the Life.*

And so *sometime just sometimes*, it is good to play the devil's advocate by covering all the needed angles. Remember, the Bible tells not to be ignorant of the devil's devises& schemes.
Mostly, going this extra mile enables us to know how empty, fabricated, witty, cunning, manipulative, deceitful, psychological and deadly the devil is.
*The only solution is to Run back to God.*

Paul after playing this wild advocate of the devil came back to state the categorical truth in
verse 20 aside providing other evidence from there:
_V.20But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep._
_V.21For since death came through  man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man._ _22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive._

I must say it is noty all situations that require us to condone the devil&play his advocate. An example is in Matt.3-When Jesus' was tempted by the devil as he fasted.

At the end of the day, it requires the spirit of discernment and I pray God grants us that to know when to&not to.

Of course, this is applicable to our daily lives as well.As said, keep on reading 1Cor.15. this Easter season as we start from the end of the story. More to come.

*SO I SAY:*
*With a Strong Footing in Christ&being led;it may be necessary to play the devil's advocate yet in the end it only lead us to the one and only saviour Jesus Christ* .
