*IN A LITTLE WHILE...(John 16:16-)*

Jesus went on to say, _“ *In a little while* you will see me no more, and then after *a little while* you will see me, and because i am going to the father?...”_

At this, some of his disciples said to one another, “What does he mean by saying,  _*‘In a little while* you will see me no more..."_

Jesus in his ministry on earth was very poetic speaking in parables & this was no exception.As he mostly did, he went on to explain.

It was just a little while and Jesus' death for mankind was just lurking around. Just like any other,it will be a sad and mournful one for the disciples whom he has been with.

One thing they didn't realise was that in *just another little while again*, his death meant that the whole world will rejoice including the disciples themselves. For he will rise again,out of which we have  salvation&a joyful life in full measure amidst all the troubles. (All these he likened to a woman giving birth in the Account in v.21)

This morning, the message we take from Jesus words is very simple.

For in just a little while, the troubles&hardships keep pouring in from all angles.

*Your little while* may even take years,it remains unknown when it will end but one thing I know which I declare standing on this word in your life:

*'That in another little while, the same God who took his son all through the troubles will turn your situation all around for Good.*

*Beloved, just like this Childbearing, your pains,discomfort,giving ups,groanings,near deaths are sure to birth great times of joy&jubilation.*

Beloved, always remember that anytime *a little while of troubles shows up, just know that in another little while great times of Joy always awaits you.*

And this is and will be our lives as Christians so far as we remain on earth. This is affirmed in Jesus final words in v.33- *'I told you these things so that in me you will have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. but take heart, I have overcome the world.'*

The life of many christians are still lazed with Fear and the most interesting part?...They don't joke with the word of God either.  *I am...*

For all these years of being a Christian, at least i try to be faithful but still doesn't seem to get God sometimes. In fact,sometimes, I doubt his love with all the happenings. *I am...*

Many a Christian believe that though God is enough, he sometimes doesn't  act as such or let's say in its snail pace. And so it might just be okay to cut corners at times using your wits&strength. *I am...*

For many, the term Christian seem to hold us in chains with the many troubles it confesses to come with. *I am..*

Many have accepted that though God can do all things but when it comes to them&where they are, he(God)can not reach. *I am..*

Many move about their daily lives  fallen apart within questioning who they say *YOU ARE...*

For:
*You are* the one who calms all doubts with just your hand.

*You are* the one whose throws a Job&all his life's phases to us for understanding.

*You are* who says if we could just Trust you in all our ways...

Beloved, I believe you are *Next in line*. For though all the Bible you've read may not make sense&not seem applicable to you,God is coming through to you in your peculiar situation.

We end the mini- series on Money today.As said, the aim is to put the money issue in its *Right Perspective.*

Of course, Money is important. Of course, it is *really* needed especially in our world today. It gives you _'a sense of respectability'_, paves a lot of ways,helps to achieve a lot of things&also a sign (of a level) of success...All which are needed.

Considered as a *life blood*,Money gives us the feel good factor.I remember my tertiary school days, anytime I was sent money after running out, I became alive again feeling so good.☺

That is Money.It is very powerful.In my situation, it was for a good course but that is where it all starts.
Let's put it right. _*It is not Money but the Love of it that is the root of all evil.(All the accounts are clear)*_
_For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have  wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs._(1Tim.6:10)

Leo Roston says _Money can't buy happiness but neither can poverty._
The Inspiration many(esp.youth) take from this have driven them to go at extreme lengths allowing themselves to be intoxicated with money.

Beloved, this is what it means to love money:
**When you are willing&prepared to forsake your faith just because of Money*
**When People &anything does not matter& are prepared to even sacrifice them in all forms for money.*
**When Money becomes all you think of, do & live for*
**And most importantly,when you start doing the above in little creeping measure.*

All these are because of the bad examples of the extravagant lives we see, the woeful lives of many good people, the over- the top goals we set&in general the innate pursuit of worldliness.

Money is a necessary evil& the only cure to pursue it right is the Fear of God.Beloved, it is extremely difficult but it is still possible to think,plan,work,be creative, Seek help, guidance,gain favour &strategise RIGHT.All these are as God lead&enable us to make all the money,be prosperous&manage Right. Tell me- What can't Money buy Today because it Looks like it?...🤔

Okay,So a dear one just burst out when this money issue came up saying  _'ooh you have also realised it eee. I shock at how people are chasing after money these days oo.It is as if you are not serious or without an ambition mpo....'_

It must be said- Money can do a lot of things&open a lot of doors especially in our world today.And so we really need it.

However, in all these, there are countless things Money *can't buy&those are still the important things of life .* In fact, it has tried& sometimes have won but only temporarily(Façade)

Personally,I have interacted with many who are feigning friendship,acting as if they so like their (rich) fellow. Many rich who are in forced relationships their money bought for them confess- _'if only my partner could really love me  as I am&not for..._
- *YES,It is truth!...Money can't buy Relationship,Love & Friendship*

So What if you could turn back the hands of time?...And hope&dreams hinged on the amount of Money you had?...The sad thing is that today, Many deceive&manipulate many to think it is possible with Money.
This is only a free gift God gives us&goes on to give us the grace to make things with the Time ahead of us.
*Time,Hope &Dreams can never be bought with Money*

*Happiness,Cheerful Soul, Peace@heart&Health can't be bought with Money.* Interesting if Money could buy the above.Thank God, these are things he gives us as we continue to soak ourselves in his word. Doctors will say no matter how good they are&how rich you are to pay;they still require Grace to do their work. Money only aids but never can it buy Health.

Can Money buy the following:
*Character,Discipline,Loyalty, Wisdom,Trust, Respect&such.* No matter what, they shall find you out if you don't have...For
these are virtues we nurture through our upbringing all as inspired by our maker.

*Faith&Salvation*...The greatest of them of all& through this we have *LIFE*(John 10:10)... Ask yourself if Money decided this?🤔 Eph.2:8-9- _For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works,so that no one can boast._

I asked myself what  do i want to drum home with this whole *Money* Topic especially this sub-title... *Money Answereth All things.* I told myself *Proper Perspective!*

I will keenly come to the Proper Perspective aspect but let's ask frankly 'What Can't Money do these days?'😁

Aside all the big things money easily clears- Fame,High Positions,Power,Influence; these days it looks like it can oo?... Happiness is for sale...Not to talk of Love because People are or have  sold their conscience.
Prayer & even the Faith all seem to be up for sale anaa?

The simply truth comes When after they get all the money, they begin to ask themselves What?...

This is what the same Solomon who had all the *money* that got him all the wives, concubines,houses,beauty,artistery, Precious Antiques, said again in 
Eccl2:11
_"Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve,everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind;"_

What does it tell you then ...Put the statement in proper Perspective/context *When Should Yes When Should* and this one fits the cup.

*This is it:*
_To answer this we have to understand the CONTEXT in which he said it, so let’s read verses 16-19 from the New King James Version: “Woe to you, O land, when your king is a child, and our princes feast in the morning! Blessed are you, O land, when your king is the son of nobles, and your princes feast at the proper time—for strength and not for drunkenness! Because of laziness the building decays and through idleness of hands the house leaks. A feast is made for laughter, and wine makes merry; but money answers everything.”_

_The contrast in verses 16-18 is clear; a country with a noble king who rules with sobriety and strength is blessed, but the country with a lazy and drunken ruler will come to ruin. With this in mind verse 19 shows us the attitude of the drunken ruler._

_They live for PLEASURE (“a feast is made for laughter”) and becoming DRUNK (“and wine makes merry”), and MONEY will provide everything they need to continue their life of partying. So, this is NOT Solomon’s personal opinion, but as he observed life around him, he found this to be the opinion of lazy, pleasure-seeking kings. A good example of this kind of king was Belshazzar, the King of Babylon (see Daniel 5:1-4 )._

So Beloved, Money is important. Money is a Necessity.Money is really needed even the lot of it.Money Talks.Money Opens lots & lots of doors.
However, Generically, *Money does not Answer All Things*...It was only Right within the above explained context.(This happens with other things in various areas of our lives)

Years ago,my friend Kofi mistakenly got stuck in a   suffocating room for many hours he could hardly breathe. When pulled out, his initial words that fell from his panting breathe was-  *"I have learnt to really Appreciate Life...*

Just recently, I had cause to say same when I visited a friend at the hospital. I remember squeezing myself to myself as I refused to see the many sick people there. I really felt for them.I  stepped out saying... *'How we don't Appreciate Life Enough...I should be myself.'*

*You have Life Today?...Appreciate it!..For all we seek for begins with just the Breath of Life. It is far more precious than we treat it*

Beloved, let's Learn to appreciate &value Life even for the microsecond of it.
We wake up every morning,we go, come, eat,drink, talk & move about our normal things. We do these common basic things& without talking about the other 'big' things, it is so easy to take the above for granted.

Remember, if you can do all the big things we so desire, it all starts from appreciating these simple things.

Let us learn to value and appreciate Life & it starts with these simple basically things.

Ecclesiastes 3:12-13 So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can. And people should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of their labor , for these are gifts from God.

Ecclesiastes 2:24-25 So I decided there is nothing better than to enjoy food and drink and to find satisfaction in work. Then I realized that these pleasures are from the hand of God. For who can eat or enjoy anything apart from him?

Ecclesiastes 8:15 So I recommend having fun , because there is nothing better for people in this world than to eat, drink, and enjoy life. That way they will experience some happiness along with all the hard work God gives them under the sun.

Ecclesiastes 5:19 And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life–this is indeed a gift from God.
Be content with what you have.

*_Develop a Thankful Heart...Be Thankful to God in all things...For Thankfulness is something God doesn't force us to but requires us to..._* And his blessings?...

Yesterday, we looked at Being Thankful (The God Side). Today, we look at the Human side.

And yesterday, we said to be Thankful in all things & to do it without fail, we need to have *a Thankful Heart*- One that only God can make whole though it is an attitude we build through our upbringing.

Beloved, Thankfulness  doesn't end with God alone but must be shown to one another. It is a virtue God wants to carry across no matter how difficult.

_But we request of you, brethren, that you appreciate those who diligently labour among you, and have charge over you in the Lord and give you instruction,_ (1Thess 5:12)

COME TO THINK OF IT:
*What do we gain from being an Ingrate or What can be right about not being Thankful for whatever GOOD  done you. It is just so COURTEOUS and  RIGHT to&so IMPROPER& SENSELESS not to.*

Being Thankful has  enormous benefits:
_One key one for the individual is to  appreciate who you are, what you have & this helps to see one's way clear and know the next move._

_It defines one's personality&speaks volumes about the kind of person one is...Why would you want to be branded as an Ingrate&a can do it all 'freak'?_

_Being Thankful means appreciating the little things.Remember, this simple act subconsciously melts hearts, is seen& open bigger doors for significant changes._

Beloved, being Thankful can be difficult when acts shown are not even genuine.It may be overused, abused and not reciprocated but we shouldn't lose this virtue. Remember, Whatever we do is unto God not man.

Indeed, our God pours his manifold blessings and open doors for us when we do this for a fellow.

Beloved, Our best way of Thanking one another is this
*1 Thessalonians 1:2 We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers.*

*Develop a Thankful Heart...Let's be Thankful to one another... For though seemingly small, it causes big things beyond measure.*

There is something about being Thankful that I love so much.

*That is, it ALWAYS makes you appreciate Life& its source, Who you are, what you have and even the little gesture done you.*

_In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you._ (1Thess 5:18)

Beloved, to do this&to do it well without fail;it takes one who has a *Thankful Heart which means  has built a Thankful Heart.*

*A Thankful Heart* is one that is *always* ready to give thanks to God for whatever situation he brings our way&even for what we go through whether good or bad.

And so Being Thankful has everything to do contentment and not Mediocrity.
To say that, although life is about the good, the bad, troubles,wins and struggles, I thank you Lord for I know you are with me,will make it better, take me out & turn it around for my Good.

*This is what being Thankful means.*

A Thankful heart is an attitude we build...An attribute we learn&allow to take preeminence through training &upbringing. However, for it to be made whole, we must indeed allow God to be the master of our lives.

With this, we can&will thank God for everything that happens.We will continue to usher ourselves in his hands&he'll never fail us for he is a faithful God.

This is something Jesus himself sought from the ten lepers in Luke 17:11-19- _'He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him...'_ Jesus said  _'...Where are the other nine?...Rise and go;your faith has made you well.'_

*_Take this- And so when we are in that habit of showing gratitude to God,it melts his heart & he pours his blessing in its overflow._* (More on this tomorrow on Being Thankful...The human side)

Therefore,God himself so desire that we be thankful to him&so through his many ministers in his word, he commands, encourages&even strengthens us to do so in our daily lives.

_I will  give Thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness;I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High._(Psalm 7:17)

_"If you want to be distressed, look within. If you want to be defeated, look back. If you want to be distracted, look around. If you want to be dismayed, Look ahead. And Finally,If you want to be delivered, look UP."_

Put the above within a defined context, and it is true.More so, backed by Heb.12:2:
_Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross,scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God._

I did a simple *'Go up' search* within the whole scripture&almost all pointed out to God, seeking him in his temple,Prosperity&Basically because he is the source of life.

Interestingly, when the time was not right to move UP,it was clearly stated&the way out provided.

Beloved , it,is abundantly clear that the Lord always desires for us to be moving UP&prospering.

For our God declares: _“Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; do not hold back; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes.(Isaiah 54:2)_

Beloved, your Next UP can only be found in God...Seek him,Talk to him&build that relationship with him &you will ever soar UP&UP no matter life's troubles & challenges.

*SO I SAY:*
*There is always an UP after the Next UP to shoot up to...Seek that!👆🏻😊...May God be our help🙏*

*THE NEXT UP Message(1)*

_In the course of time, David inquired of the Lord. “Shall I go up to one of the towns of Judah?”he asked. *The Lord said, “Go up.”* (2 Samuel 2:1)_

I believe there is *The Next up* for every single individual & most definitely every Christian.

Our creator did not create us to be stagnant. He created us to *move, grow,mature and prosper* all in fulfilment of his plans and purposes for our lives.

_And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. (Luke 2:52)...Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21b_

Beloved, in this life, we move. _We either move UP or Down._

I'm not sure we ask yourself what is our Next down?😬 rather the opposite. So,

*What is your Next UP?*

Are you to Start from that humble beginning to get UP there?

Where are you now?...Are you to be thankful,content with and grow what you have?

Is it time to change the way you do things,make adjustments or simply *Time to move on to the next UP.*
(Remember, your Next UP leads you to another UP&then another....)

In all,where do you see yourself in this life?...Do you know your purpose in life...What are your  goals from that ultimate purpose such that you work towards them?

Beloved, I believe in the above questions and scenarios lie your *NEXT UP.*

Above all,the only one to know the answers to these questions is the source of your life-God....Constantly engage with him... *‘Come, let us go UP to Zion, to the Lord our God.’”(Jer.31:6b)*

Remember, in everything, Our God wants us to prosper in all things...To shoot UP...UP...UP amidst all the troubles &challenges.

This is why from the *ON THIS MORNING team,* we are also  moving to our  *NEXT UP*...Join us tomorrow for more.

Be Inspired to also move on to your Next UP. Remember, it is ongoing process in the life.

*_Listening and Doing_*

V.19 My dear brothers and sisters,take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 

V.20 because human angerdoes not produce the righteousness that God desires.

V.21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you,which can save you.

V.22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

V.23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 

V.24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 

V.25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom,and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

V.26 Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.

V.27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

*EASTER TREAT(4)...Let's Do a Clear Distinction*

On wrapping up on our Easter Treat, we do what I call a Clear Distinction.

This is what Christ did on the cross represents:

_Jesus Christ calls to us *no matter how filthily sinful yet he commands and Graces* us to stop sinning so as to live a pleasing life._

Therefore, the distinction-We are also to:

_Accept the *sinful in their entirety* but never are we to *condone the sins of the sinful.*_

Normally,in accepting the above, we are torn between Religiousity,Self-Righteousness &Annoyance instead of showing Love,Mercy and Compassion.

Don't forget you were just like them & also received God's Mercy and Grace.

*SO I SAY:*
*A clear distinction should do at all times...Let's all accept the sinful not their sins by showing God's Love,Compassion and Mercy...For such is what he did on the cross for us.*

*EASTER TREAT(3)...Tetelestai... νίκη*

This is your Easter Treat(3)...&today it is Tetelestai... νίκη.

_The two words Tetelestai and νίκη are both Greek which means *It is finished* and *Victory* respectively._

Today, like that day, dating back to over a double millenia(2000 years) ago,Christ's Redemptive work was done... Finished...Finished unto Victory.

All thanks to the Risen Saviour.
_So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable;it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.(1Cor.15:42-44)_
