There is something about being Thankful that I love so much.
*That is, it ALWAYS makes you appreciate Life& its source, Who you are, what you have and even the little gesture done you.*
_In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you._ (1Thess 5:18)
Beloved, to do this&to do it well without fail;it takes one who has a *Thankful Heart which means has built a Thankful Heart.*
*A Thankful Heart* is one that is *always* ready to give thanks to God for whatever situation he brings our way&even for what we go through whether good or bad.
And so Being Thankful has everything to do contentment and not Mediocrity.
To say that, although life is about the good, the bad, troubles,wins and struggles, I thank you Lord for I know you are with me,will make it better, take me out & turn it around for my Good.
*This is what being Thankful means.*
A Thankful heart is an attitude we build...An attribute we learn&allow to take preeminence through training &upbringing. However, for it to be made whole, we must indeed allow God to be the master of our lives.
With this, we can&will thank God for everything that happens.We will continue to usher ourselves in his hands&he'll never fail us for he is a faithful God.
This is something Jesus himself sought from the ten lepers in Luke 17:11-19- _'He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him...'_ Jesus said _'...Where are the other nine?...Rise and go;your faith has made you well.'_
*_Take this- And so when we are in that habit of showing gratitude to God,it melts his heart & he pours his blessing in its overflow._* (More on this tomorrow on Being Thankful...The human side)
Therefore,God himself so desire that we be thankful to him&so through his many ministers in his word, he commands, encourages&even strengthens us to do so in our daily lives.
_I will give Thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness;I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High._(Psalm 7:17)
_Let them give Thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind,_(Psalm 107:15)
_Give Thanks to the Lord, for he is good;his love endures forever._(1Chron.16:34)
*SO I SAY:*
*Develop a Thankful Heart...Be Thankful to God in all things...For Thankfulness is something God doesn't force us to but requires of us.*
