John 11 is basically about the death, what happened in between and eventual the resurrection of Lazarus by THE ONE who also resurrected from death by HIMSELF-JESUS.
Lazarus was seriously sick, his sisters who were dearly loved by Jesus sent word to him. He chose to wait for days before he told his disciples now let’s now go….. by which time Lazarus was dead!
V.4 states the reason-Jesus said, “ *THIS sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s Glory so that God’s son may be glorious through it.*
The in between-Jesus came to comfort them, you can imagine the supposed murmuring and annoyance.
Eventually, he did raise him up-v.43&44- …*_Lazarus, come out. The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strip of linen and a cloth around his face. Take off the clothes and let him go. -Jesus said*_
And so Back to John 11:40(backed by v.4)
Jesus said, “*Did I not tell you that the if you believe, you will see the glory of God.*
*The key Words here is Believe & Glory.
You know what?…. Those “certain things” that do not add up, don’t make sense, that are so simple that the Lord could easily do with a fingersnap….YET
And it is not like you‘ve not done the needful- You prayed, fasted, waited, sought that wise counsel, started and are still involving him…YET…
Such was the case of Mary and Martha.
THIS…in fact SUCH Situations are for us to see his #GLORY. He’s saying from our Digest today that- *Just BELIEVE- it wasn’t supposed to make sense or have a smooth sailing because I, the LORD, am going to glorify myself through and in it.
And like Lazarus, the GLORY will be explosive…Being raised from the dead (and even made anew as further study makes us understand )
Such will be your #Glory….Just BELIEVE
