Earlier last month (January 2026), we did Glory Intro and we traced Glory to its Hebrew origin(Kavod) and this is what we said-
_Kavod (כָּבוֹד) is a Hebrew Glory word which goes beyond just the respect& honour but stems from the root word kaved which means the HEAVINESS and WEIGHT of something. It conveys that sense of heaviness, real importance and the visible manifestation of God’s glory beyond measure._
Today, we will dive into scriptures to give you a vivid description of How inexpressibly WEIGHTY God’s GLORY is and then we wrap it up.
First, let’s start with Moses once more and the tabernacle he built as instructed by God’s guidelines….
(Exodus 40:34-38)
_*Then the cloud covered the Tabernacle, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle. Moses could no longer enter the Tabernacle because the cloud had settled down over it, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle. Now whenever the cloud lifted from the Tabernacle, the people of Israel would set out on their journey, following it.*_
_*But if the cloud did not rise, they remained where they were until it lifted. The cloud of the lord hovered over the Tabernacle during the day, and at night fire glowed inside the cloud so the whole family of Israel could see it. This continued throughout all their journeys._*
Does it give you a picture of the Weight?….😉
The Famous Solomon temple for the Lord earlier promised by his father, David…
_*1Kings 8:10-12- “When the priests came out of the Holy Place, a thick cloud filled the Temple of the Lord. The priests could not continue their service because of the cloud, for the glorious presence of the lord filled the Temple of the Lord. Then Solomon prayed, “O lord, you have said that you would live in a thick cloud of darkness._*
2Chron.5:13-14-
_*The trumpeters and singers performed together in unison to praise and give thanks to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments, they raised their voices and praised the Lord with these words: “He is good! His faithful love endures forever!”At that moment a thick cloud filled the Temple of the Lord._*
_*The priests could not continue their service because of the cloud, for the glorious presence of the Lord filled the Temple of God._*
Are we to play with the Glory of God on our heads??….
In the New Testament, the clearest testament of the WEIGHT of his glory is the transfiguration Matthew 17:1-8
_*”After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus. Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here.
If you wish, I will put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.” While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!” When the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified. But Jesus came and touched them. “Get up,” he said. “Don’t be afraid.” When they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus.”_*
_Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. Romans 8:18_
Therefore, our OTM Defintion of the *WEIGHT of God’s Glory* is that Radiance,Beauty, Honour, Priviledge, Grace,Power that simoly can’t be weighed, expressed or described but to give us a glimpse of God’s might and to cause massive transformations in our lives on earth all because of his redemptive work on the cross.
Once again, this is the WEIGHT of his GLORY that we are dealing with and the inestimable price paid on it which has been bestowed in and upon us to further reflect for all to see his saving knowledge.
There is therefore the need to not let sin or any other thing taint, dirty or dim what we have as his ambassadors on earth and live it out fully to bless the lives for which it is given.
And so we say, it is from Glory to Glory..#Glorious’26
