A thought on it and the simple question is why did he use what we eat and drink?… because that is the commonest of things to us as humans. It is so close to home sitting right under the eyes and nose.

Therefore, if he is concerned about that and want you to honor him with even those minutest things, how much more the very big ones.*

*It also tells us that -God is interested in the very very little details of our lives and want us to give it all to him. (Remember, when he once said-_I know the number of hair on your head.Luke 12:7)_*
