'CONFI...STEP OUT' (Heb 10:32, 2 Chron. 15, )

Good Evening to you all. Let me start with these terms or jargons.

APOSO...CAPA..
Maybe, we will use these jargons later.

Well today, we do 'CONFI' simply, CONFIDENCE.Its siblings are Boldness &Courage.
That is what my focal lenses are on, on 'MESSAGE FOR THE EVENING'

In reading the book of Exodus, I had always wondered why the Isrealites upon God's faithfulness always lost hope when they jumped into another test.

They always forgot&behave as if  there had no God.

Come to think of it... relating this to our lives, how many times have I or have you not done same?

I tell you if the same God has brought this far, then why won't he take us to the expected end.
This is where our CONFI, I mean our CONFIDENCE should be.

Let's look at Asa story in 2 Chron. 15
As the spirit of God came upon Azariah the Prophet, he told the Asa the king that the Lord is with you,he'll never forsake you... for you only have to seek him first in all you do.

These were truly  reassuring words for Israel(King Asa) because they were without God himself & a Priest to direct their ways. 

As a result the Lord allowed a lot of troubles to come their way.

However, Asa rather took CONFIDENCE from these words and did the below:

"When Asa heard these words and the prophecy of Azariah... he took courage. He removed the detestable idols from the whole land of Judah and Benjamin..."

This is what King Asa  did...he took Courage from the word that came to him. HE STEPPED OUT IN CONFIDENCE.

 

What we do mostly when we face problems& challenges is to take fear, doubt & hopelesness from them instead of the opposite.

Ask yourself how many times have you not faced that, how many times have God's word not spoken/reassured you about it.

Also, how many times have you not seen it happen in someone's life???

In all these, didn't he(GOD) prove faithful even in times we didn't understand/thought impossibility.

He says even if we are faithless, he'll FAITHFUL. 

Always take CONFIDENCE from who God is, what he's done and will do. He's so unfailing such that he's put that 'CONFI'  in you to go forth👇🏻

Hebrews 10:35
'So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.'

SO I SAY:
YOU HAVE THE 'CONFI...STEP OUT'

Good morning. We thank God for giving us another day, the start of a Glorious Week.

You can say Amen to it believing it will surely come to pass. 

Okay, so I bring you MEDITATE NOW.

Psalm 118

1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;his love endures forever.

2 Let Israel say: “His love endures forever.”

3 Let the house of Aaron say: “His love endures forever.”
4 Let those who fear the LORD say:“His love endures forever.”

5 When hard pressed, I cried to the LORD;he brought me into a spacious place.
6 The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?

7 The LORD is with me; he is my helper.I look in triumph on my enemies.
8 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humans.

14 The LORD is my strength and my defense ; he has become my salvation.

This morning 'COME TO ME.' Well, not me.... Jesus said, "COME TO ME, all of you who are weary
and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.(Matthew 11:28)

Anytime I write about this, I know I will get you because all of us face TROUBLES(except moi..hehe).


How many times have you not had sleepless night, engrossed in deep thoughts, locked yourself up,wanted to be alone or gone to a far secluded  place JUST because of compounding problems.

Simply,Jesus is ready to take all your burdens. Stop the worries, it won't solve anything for he says COME TO ME.

Remember, Worry has never been a problem solver, it only caresses your problems whiles draining and sinking you further.

CONCLUSION: LISTENING(THE SELF& GOD SIDE)'

We continue right from this morning on 'LISTENING.'

Now the main questions again:


DO YOU MAKE TIME TO HEAR&LISTEN TO GOD???
Prov. 22:17
Pay attention and listen to the sayings of the wise; apply your heart to what I teach.

This is where the problem is. Hardly do we do this yet we expect that God will do great and miraculous things in our lives.

How can a young man keep his way pure?...
The step of the righteous are ordered by God. How?...This is when God speaks& we also hear to do as he says.

So, HOW DO YOU HEAR FROM GOD?
He he...I laugh because for the past weeks,questions that have come to me have centered on this&the Spirit told me which I quickly listened😄:

'There are several ways to hear from me but I speak to every person(CHRISTIAN) uniquely and differently at different points in time.'

In other words, you are the only person who will know how God speaks to you. NOONE CAN DO IT FOR YOU&THIS CRUCIALLY DETERMINE YOUR LIFE.(No wonder a lot of christians are being deceived& are wasting away)

The modes through which we hear from God are the same old traditional ones.

*Word of God-Read, Study, Meditate. (II Timothy 3:16-17)

*Prayer-Based on the word& is Spirit-led. (Jeremiah 33:3)

*Developing a (personal) habit to walk, hear&listen to the Spirit (Spirit-led life)-(John 14:26, Rom.8:14)

*Through prophecy(1Thess. 5:19-21)

*Through Godly counsel(Proverbs 11:14 ).

*Through Confirmation. (Matthew 18:16 )

*Through Circumstance/Timing.(Acts 18)

*Through Praises/worship, In silence& it goes on&on&on.(NB:THEY MUST ALL BE BASED ON THE WORD)

Once again, note that even with the above, God still speaks to us uniquely&we all listen differently.  It's Never the same!!!

IN ALL,Hearing or Listening to God is a skill or art which is ONLY DEPENDENT ON YOUR RELATIONSHIP OR LEVEL OF INTIMACY WITH GOD.

SO I SAY
THIS IS  'LISTENING(THE SELF&GOD SIDE) WRAPPING IT UP ON THE 'LISTENING' MINI SERIES.

'LISTENING(THE SELF& GOD SIDE)'

Another morning means God has not ceased our breath which means we have to be grateful to him.

In doing that, he talks, we listen. We talk, he listens.This is what today's message centers on.

On Part 1 in July this year(myinss.blogspot.co.ke/2016/07/part-1-human-side.html?m=1), we looked at Listening on the Human side.

Then we followed it up with the God side in Part 2 (myinss.blogspot.co.ke/2016/07/listening-part-2-god-side.html?m=1)

Today as we continue with the God side, we also look at Listening to self/inward being.

To start with, Listening to self tends to be confusing or difficult. Mostly, we are prepared to listen very well when it is something pleasing or pleasurable.

The concern is we are not able to deal with many life issues  let alone make time to listen to ourselves.However, we forget that apart from Listening being a unique individual art; dealing with those issues starts right from within.

Being able to know &listen to ourselves very well is KEY yet it gets really complex when after all these years we are unable to DISCERN between voices EVEN in normal situations.

It then leads us back to the 'books author'-GOD.He made us&he knows us through&through.
Beloved, we can ONLY listen& know ourselves only through the SPIRIT OF GOD which made us.

Do you accept this undeniable truth
John 8:47
Whoever is of God hears the word of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God.”

This means we must develop the habit of hearing/listening to God so that we can growingly synchronize our spirit to his.
ALWAYS RELY on the Spirit of God &let it determine how much your Spirit is in tune with his.

John 10:27
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish...

Gravitating to the God side then, these vital questions pop up once again:

DO YOU MAKE TIME TO HEAR&LISTEN TO GOD?

'IT'S YOUR LIFE......'

Today, It is ON THIS MORNING SPECIAL, I take you on a journey.Just follow me common...

IT'S YOUR LIFE, that is what 'J' told me about me...oohww sorry told me about HIM.

I like 'J' sooo much, without thinking about it I can say HE IS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE. I don't care about those fake Christian eye fishing for info like PEEP TV.😀🤣

'Ahaa' so in one of our frequent intercourse 'J' pointed to him as he told ME something about him for me to learn from... (Sorry for the confusion..hehe.😀🤣)

NOW THE INTERCOURSE:

" I KNOW...I know very well he will go through troubles before he enjoys& even for the enjoyment, he would have to check his temper,his name, family curse,women, friends, money, sex, ego, habits, familiarities,cohabited girlfriend/wife...

There are more but...
For him, I know you don't understand. You don't get why he's been liked by all especially when he doesn't do anything extraordinary.
 A smooth sailing you think?....No.. No...Don't be deceived. I tell you he has his own cross to bear. His own cross that you can never bear according to the measure of faith I give you.

You know one thing I knew will happen to him- He will be a template for many others. It has to do with discovering HIMSELF. To you &anyone out there-DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE?...

As you will say, He is 'LUCKY' he gradually discovered his right after Senior High School. Look at that man over there, he is 69& he's now found his PURPOSE IN LIFE.

Rather, I put it this way,he is BLESSED,FAVOURED AND IN LINE WITH HIS FOUND PURPOSE. Just continue to bask in his grace as you follow his lead every step of the way.

Throughout this life, I see a lot of people dotted all over. Thinking wickedly, talking hastily, walking aimlessly& living foolishly in this troubled Life...

You see it shouldn't have been so as i originally intended but I wrap what i call or is called LIFE & I give it to you.Thinking that as good as I am, I will put everything in order. No!

Things HAD to be in disarray.I hand it over to you...IT BECOMES &INFACT IT IS YOUR LIFE. 

I know...I know  this WORLD. I call it the trouble world. You've felt so alone, dejected,inadequate, disillusioned...just tired of this world( The same struggling things.)

Yet i see HOPE because in the same world, i see people whose heart yearn after me no matter how few. (I think he can be counted as part)...More so, that is all you need in this RACE and my GRACE will always be available to you to live that VICTORIOUS LIFE NO MATTER YOUR FRAILTIES & FALLS.

So, I give you Life to live it and live it well...FULLY!
Again, I've always wanted JUST ONE THING FROM  YOU IN THE MIDST OF ALL THESE. 

THAT IS, JUST TO TRUST ME, HAVE FAITH IN ME, TO WALK YOU THROUGH THIS LIFE THAT I HAVE GIVEN YOU.

Aside all the hassles&hesitations,you've forgotten that embedded in this LIFE Box is a manual which simply says MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU. I WILL BE WITH YOU ALWAYS EVEN TO THE END OF TIME. 

Forget everything...JUST TRUST ME!!!"

APPETITE GONE?... HOW? (Neh. 8:1-12, I Pet 2:2, Prov.8:17)

Hello, this morning I serve you with this:
A creamy hot beverage with a freshly baked bread, cut open and massaged with some fried egg whiles garnished with some neatly sliced vegetables. 

And all I could hear was Appetite Gone?...Gone where...How?

Okay, what about this:
A succulently boiled yam or plantain(Bor)de3 asonson) with Palava Sauce(Kontomire&Agushi) with fish and eggs placed on the side.

Don't tell me you lost your appetite again...So all these to waste away. How?

This morning I ask 'DO WE LOSE OUR APPETITE FOR THE THINGS OF GOD OR FOR GOD HIMSELF?

Well, the simple answer is YES. Medically losing appetites is something normal though can be reduced drastically( Read here for more info-www.healthline.com/symptom/loss-of-appetite )

In the same way, this  happens in our relationship with God.

We all get fed up or get too used to Church, God's work and even himself.  At times we wish we could hide somewhere or experience something new.(A new adventure maybe)

That's where the problem arises.(Well, I also experience that from time to time. )

However, just as God has put in us that human incline to know that we can't survive without the basic necessities of food&water; so does he do same for the Christian.

This is because you have his Spirit in you as a Christian which means as a new creature your sinful nature has been uprooted. I know... Physically, not much has changed (You're just as you are)

It's why you need to then renew& transform your mind with his Word. Simply, that's how it works.No shortcuts!

However, as human as we are such longings and the lack of appetite for the spiritual things would come. Yes, they will but because of his SPIRIT IN US&THAT RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM;he always BRINGS US BACK NO MATTER where or how far we go.

Remember,as the carnal man crave after what is fleshly/carnal, the spiritual man longs for what is spiritual (Galatians 5:16- &Romans 8).The latter is what our God brings us to as we grow and mature in him.
I put it this way, Our God then brings us into FULL APPETITE with things of him as we fully avail ourselves for his use

SO?...

Would you still stay there and allow your appetite to wane further after all these reminders???

Connect in fact reconnect with your maker. He has been telling you. He has been speaking to you.  He's telling you right now through this message. 

NOW TAKE NOTE OF THESE FOUNDATIONAL POINTERS:

*Always see God as that basic necessity that you can't do away with. ( TRULY APPRECIATE HIM&LIVE HIM OUT AS YOU PROFESS HIM TO BE)
 

*Be watchful of the things that steal you from God.

*Seek to be in his presence at all times&COMMIT yourself to do something in his vineyard.

*Watch those little harmless habits that can lead you to sin. 

*Generally, don't take things for granted or normalize the things of God.

*Above all, ALWAYS CONTINUE TO DEVELOP THAT INTIMACY WITH HIM. 

I guess this is what we need to whet up for GOOD our APPETITE for God. SHOOT!

SO I SAY:
WOW...APPETITE  BACK FOR GOOD?...HOW?
