  Reading the John 8 gives you a clear view of why v. 24.(A test of a woman who had committed Adultery by the Pharisees) Once again about the Pharisees and teachers who are so steeped in the wrong interpretation of the law. They can quote it all yet lack the understanding since their mindset & conscience polluted by worldly intrusions. For Such people, Jesus says “will die in their sins”. They can’t see the truth to believe in it…all they see is all they do which is always right in their eyes. 1 John 5:21(Amplified version)  “Little children (believers, dear ones), guard yourselves from idols—[false teachings, moral compromises, and anything that would take God’s place in your heart].” *What’s so harmful with having a leisurely sport like Football??… *What’s the big deal in supporting a team just for the fun of it?… *Are we or can we even bury our head in the core spirituals 24/7? *Did Jesus himself not make time to attend a wedding through which he performed a miracle?…(aside the many feast with his disciples & many other sinners) *All Work& no play….Isn’t that why Ecclesiastes says –  So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can.
