From the old testament, one person music can be equated to is DAVID.  *Main man David is described in 2 Sam. 23:1 as the sweet psalmist of israel. He is credited with writing most of the songs recorded as psalms in the Bible. He was the official musician in saul's court since known for playing harp which drove the evil spirit away.(1sam.16:14-) During David’s reign, he organized the Levitical musicians. (Well, I must say the good ones) So for the 2 weeks ahead before we hit our MUSIC FESTIVAL WEEK (Trinity Baptist Church), we will dig deep into the MUSIC World. I used to go from house to house looking for Zacchaeus some years back. Of course, not the one in the Bible, Jesus already found him. I meant I went around doing Evangelism. I don't get the chance to do it on that scale owing to work and other demands now. I hope to able to return to that aspect soon or let's say in a more comprehensive manner. Drawing this series to a close, we end on this FIRE note. From the New testament, Fire appears mainly as an DOOMSFUL element either used to portray the Lord’sJUDGEMENT or his fearful side. A look into the new testament now:  * ...This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire (2Thess1:7) -Depart from me,you who are cursed into the eternal fire prepare for the devil& his angels. FIRE is the state,process,or instance of combustion in which fuel or other material is ignited &combined with oxygen, giving off light, heat,and flame. (Too scientific I know but the more you think about it, the more it tells you asupernatural mystery behind it ) There are many   definitions but chose these few: -Burning intensity of feeling or enthusiasm. - Liveliness, vivacity of imagination;brilliance It has many domestic purposes but as we know& learnt in school, Fire is a good servant but a bad master. Let's now look at the old testament account: *In Gen. 19, we see fire the destructive use of fire by God himself on Sodom&Gomorrah. *Aided Abraham in his sacrifice of Isaac  to the Lord.(Gen. 22) *Throughout the book of Exodus,Leviticus& Numbers;  Fire serves many purposes: -Used for Egypt's destruction( Ex.9:23) - As a pillar of fire by night for the Israelites(Ex.13:21) - For sacrifices (Ex.29,30,32, Leviticus&Numb...

Let's continue the OIL Series.    A look at the New testament & OIL(Anointing) comes in  these key mentions:  - Luke 7- Jesus encounter with Mary Magdalene. The famous story of the alabaster jar filled fragrant oil. - In Luke 4:18, where Jesus himself was anointed for service. I declare that your set time is coming where you'll also be anointed for ministry 🙏  -In his healing& miracles, he anointed many (John 9) - There other mentions in Rev.6&18, Mark 16 My focus is in 2 areas: Matthew 25,the parable of the10 virgins. It is used figuratively. The oil of the 5 wise virgins signified the Holy Spirit. This tells us of what the other 5 lacked which decided their fate.  It is explained further in Acts 10:38, which says how God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit& with power as he went about doing good, healing.... Typical to this series, let's do a background. Oil has a lot of definition to it. Let's do some key mentions. -A thick NATURALLY occurring, yellow-to-black liquid beneath the EARTH'S SURFACE normally used as fuel or lubricant.(Petroleum/Crude oil)  Does it tell you of the source or was it just by accident??? - There is also that oil that is obtained from plant& animal sources and mainly used for food preparation.(Cooking Oil) However,of all of the oils, OLIVE OIL is the BEST. Olive oil  is easily pressed from fruit of the olive tree. However, the purest (100%) is ” Real extra virgin” olive oil.
