'WHY THIS AMNESIA???'(Exodus 16&17, Psalm 103)

So Message for Evening is here& as said earlier we do 'Why this Amnesia???

'It is pretty amazing when just last month you were so thankful to him for miraculously saving your child from that chronic disease.

Just a month after that, you are totally in despair. He is not a Good GOD, i won't serve... why are these things happening to me... who will take care of the child.

This is just because you've lost your job coupled with the fact that your husband is already jobless. 

Now, this is what i call SPIRITUAL AMNESIA.

The child?, job? or current situation ..Heyy, have you forgotten the same God some few months ago?Don't you believe that the same God who brought this far will take care of you & the famiy at large?

Anyway, Amnesia is basically 'a partial or total loss of memory caused by many conditions, such as dementia or traumatic head injuries,shock, or illness.

In some cases, Amnesia goes away without treatment. In other cases, your doctor may prescribe medication or occupational therapy.

You can simply say it's forgetfulness or an advanced form of it.

Reading the account of the Israelites especially in the book of Exodus, I got pissed off recalling the many times they suffered from 'SPIRITUAL AMNESIA'. (As if we're all not guilty)

Not long after God had pleasingly delivered them from one situation, they began to cry &blame Moses just because they were facing a more difficult one.Read the account below:

"In the desert the whole community grumbled against Moses and Aaron.....If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted,but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death."(Exodus 16:2-3)

Beloved, how many  times do we not also suffer from this AMNESIA in our walk with God.

He is so Good to us, we are so thankful to him& the next minute this Amnesia set in&we forget about his faithfulness.

Tonite, the message is simple. ..God is telling me to tell you. ...

DON'T LET THE WEIGHT OF YOUR  CURRENT PROBLEMS MAKE YOU FORGET THE SAME GOD WHO DELIVERED YOU FROM AN EVEN WEIGHTIER ONE.

Focus NOT on your problems....Look up to him...The Author &perfector...He did it before. ..This isn't beyond him. He will never leave you nor forsake you..

HE...WILL...TAKE...YOU...TO..THE...EXPECTED...END...IF HE HAS BROUGHT YOU THUS FAR.

LET'S NOT LET AMNESIA SET IN, IN OUR WALK WITH GOD.

Make it a point to thank him, bask and take CONFIDENCE/HOPE from his past provisions...FOR HE'S EVER FAITHFUL.

Let this be your habit- Rely on the same God who did it before to do it now and always. We all need this- IT IS KEY FOR OUR FAITH IN THESE TIMES.
