Just to update you the Donations time was short but very touching, an eye opener, appreciative and Glorious.

Ahaaa, so the CLIMAX:

The climax of the Powerful,Awesome, Electrifying, Vibrating, thrilling and touching YOUTH FESTIVAL GRANDE...YOUTH FESTIVAL 2016 is this evening@5:30pm.

We crown off with the DINNER and JAZZ NIGHT.I so know about the edibles but also the Jazz tunes I heard eee....hmmm...All these mixed up some impactful spiritual elements.

This is how far God has brought by us and I know by his Grace, it's going to be just.....

I KNOW YES I DO KNOW YOU..ARE..NOT MISSING OUT.

Gradually we are already in Day 5 of our Youth  Week Celebration.

I'm sure you'll agree with me it has been nothing but POWERFUL.

We continue with the  Donations today(Charity Blessing I call it)

Just as I told  you...Today was a wonderful time.

I loved the INITIATIVES, the last activity was too competitive and of course THE YOUTH WON!...WE HAVE MARCHED ON TO OUR VICTORY.

 I'm sure we have exposed to yet how revealing God's word is (can be used for anything),also  picked up something to help us in our word study and have taken note of the various creative ways of knowing the WORD which can be used adopted.

Aside these is the fun we had as people in the Lord. 

All GLORY to the Most High.

Oooooh&just yesterday we witnessed the Awesome, Electrifying & that WORD vibrating 'TRIUMPHANT PRAISE(T-PRAISE)'

Okay, Claudia run us through what you covered.

CLAUDIA: So Kofi, as we have done for the earlier 2 days, we covered theEXPLOSIVE  EXPOSITION to the theme with Rev. Leo. (Refer to our ON THIS MORNING segment for details)

Yesterday was the Awesome Triumphant Praise.The programme didn't start on time which is very typical of us.
There was the routine Opening Prayer, errhmm...Adoration and Praises. I loved it because it still came with a difference. 

Then the President,very articulate,  Honourable Martin they call him gave us a introduced us to the gathering. It was followed by a nice song ministration by Vibrations(one of their choirs).
I think the MC livened the place with his Vibrating word stuff though lost his words at a point.
(Let me leave the rest to Kelvin)

Kelvin: Okay, so I'll leave the MAIN ministration  for Ewurafua but before was a very powerful, insightful& adorable poetic ministration from a group of CREATIVES titled 'WO Y3 ONYAME'(HE IS GOD)..ooh too muchhh

And do you know what killed it...was the Mmrane bit added to it by the MC...ooh Gee.

KOFI:Wooo I have to cut this guy and bring Ewurafua in for the MAIN MINISTRATION.

EWURAFUA:He he... so Kofi, I can't talk much because it was just..eerhmm...What's the word. ..awesome is an understatement. 
Surprisingly the group was their Teens Choir. Teens ooo...and I just couldn't believe the AWESTRUCK&HEAVENLY MINISTRATIONS GUSHING OUT  UNENDINGLY FROM THESE YOUNG ONES...OOH GOODNESS.

Basically, What i will say since time is not on our  side-People were touched, souls won, Rededication to Christ,People danced, had a joyful time and even wanted more. ..,

(Excerpts from Day 2 of Youth Festival by Rev . Leo Owusu Afriyie)

As we enter Day 2 of Youth Festival 2016, Rev. Leo Owusu Afriyie of Love Community Baptist continues with
'HELLO TOMORROW'

Of course, another AWESOME time with our maker.
Mind you the main theme is MARCHING ON TO VICTORY.

Let's continue with  Day 2 of HELLO TOMORROW:

This is JOHN F. KENNEDY speech about Going to the Moon:

"We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things,not because they are easy, but because they are hard; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win and the others, too."

*Buying tomorrow starts from the mind. The best way is to renew and transform by God's word. 

*Remember the average African doesn't plan beyond 5yrs. Don't be like that. Have a plan(mental picture) and make sure you write it down.

THE OTHER WAYS TO MARCH ON TO VICTORY:

* Celebrate little achievement
(Zech 5.10, job 8:7, Exod 4.2, Ezra 3:11)
-Our God specializes in turning little things into mighty things.
- Whatever you thank God for is your own
-Thank God for the foundations. Don't despise small beginnings.
(That's how Love Community Baptist started)

* DILIGENCE(Mark 5:11)
- The Secret to oceanic blessing is the multiple streams  that flow into it.
- Work hard, diversify your portfolio, Have multiple streams of income BUT ABOVE ALL BE DILIGENT AT IT. (Prov.6.6-11)

*STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

-David wouldn't have been king if not for divine partnership of Jonathan.
-We all need a destiny helper.

(Excerpts from Day 1 of Youth Festival by Rev . Leo Owusu Afriyie )

It's all about the YOUTH FESTIVAL on ON THIS MORNING for the week.

Deservedly so since the power of God was(is) mightily at work giving me a lot to write on.

The theme for the Youth Festival is MARCHING ON TO VICTORY. From that,
Rev. Leo Owusu Afriyie(Love Community Baptist Church) spoke on the sub theme-'HELLO TOMORROW'

He laid some solid& fundamental biblical principles on how we can claim our VICTORY.

Let's look at them:
*The title Hello Tomorrow is a borrowed slogan from Fly Emirates which is just about inspiring people to greet tomorrow's unlimited potential.
It is owned by the people of United Arab Emirates(UAE)

*In 2013, UAE  had a population of 9.2million of which 7.8m were expatriates and 1.4m natives.

This was simply because they BOUGHT their TOMORROW many years ago making it appealing to many people and other massive  investments. 

* Therefore,you can say HELLO TOMORROW by buying your tomorrow today.  Don't just stand up& say I'm marching on to victory.  Prepare yourself for tomorrow.(victory)

*Take certain decisions  today to transform your life tomorrow.

*Don't stand at one place and say when will my victory come...keep praying and keep moving and your VICTORY will come

* Remember the race is not for the swift nor the battle for the strong...(Eccl.9:11)
Persevere with God and he will you give you your VICTORY.

THREE WAY TO MARCH ON TO VICTORY
*Assess your life/situation
- The Right thing to do in difficult times is to properly assess the situation.

*Formulate of a work plan(Luke 16)
-Short,medium&Long term plan.

*Be PATIENT and gradually wait for your VICTORY.(Heb .6:11,James 5:7)
-Like the Bamboo plant which takes 5 years to shoot up becoming a tall& precious material, that is the height God is placing you. BE PATIENT.

* Don't sell your tomorrow like Esau in Gen. 25 but  learn from the lepers in 2 kings 7 who dared to buy their tomorrow regardless of the mountain before them.

'MARCHING ON TO VICTORY' (2 COR.2:14)

The Christian life is a Journey. (Sure you know that)

We face a lot of things-all the T's-The Troubles, Trials,  Temptations and Tribulations but in the  end ONE THING is assured for us...VICTORY!!!

And so whatever you're  going through, continue to MARCH for your VICTORY is assured not only in HEAVEN but also on EARTH.

Right now let's MARCH ON with these verses:
STARTING:
Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will
free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? (Romans 7:24)

BUT:
For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace. (Romans 6:14)

NOTWITHSTANDING TROUBLES:
There will be tribulation and distress for every human being who does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek. (Romans 2:9 )

EVEN FOR CHRISTIANS, HE SAYS:
In the world you will have tribulation. BUT take heart; I have overcome the world.(John 16:33)

THEN HE CONTINUES:
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

THEN:
For the LORD your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.
(Deuteronomy 20:4 )

PUTTING YOUR NAME IN PLACE OF JOSHUA:
And the Lord said unto Joshua(PROSPER), Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee.

THEN THIS:
Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. (3 John 1:2)

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO THEN:
...Press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called you heavenward in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:14)

WE ARE CERTAINLY GOING SOMEWHERE.LET'S CONTINUE THE MARCH....

YOU CAN NOW SAY:
I can do all things through him who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)

FOR:

FOR YOU ARE LIKE:

TESTIMONY:
And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

YOUTH?
I'm sure you are one. (Well if you aren't,still read. It will be useful to the young ones around you. )

Okay,who is A YOUTH?

Various dictionary definitions:
* The period between childhood and adult age.

* The time of life when one is young esp.the period between childhood & maturity. The early period of existence, growth/development.

 

Whiles elements of this may be true, you will agree with me they ain't apt . They fall short in many ways.

I like this UNESCO definition:

“Youth” is best understood as a period of transition from the dependence of childhood to adulthood’s independence and awareness of our interdependence as members of a community.

It however breaks it down into these age groups: 15-24yrs (UN STATS)& 15-35yrs(African Youth Charter)

It however says-Youth is a more fluid category than a fixed age-group.

'YOUTH FESTIVAL'
The concept of the term 'Youth Festival'  seems to have originated from the Asian Regions from my brief research. Indians&Singaporeans easily come up.

Among Indians, it is for integration,communal harmony, brotherhood, courage&adventure amongst the youth by exhibiting their cultural prowess.

Generally, YOUTH FESTIVAL is a themed event that has a wide variety of activities for young people including art, music, dance, film, games &academics.

This has been adopted by many including Christian organisations.
However, for us as a church and (young) people of God; we give it the SPIRITUAL(Christian) DIRECTION which is the RIGHT WAY since it encompasses all. 

Therefore,
' ...thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. (2 COR.2:14)

 

As a result, Our theme is 'MARCHING ON TO  VICTORY'

This is exactly what we will be doing just a week today.

It is a FAMILY GAME SHOW captioned BINDING RELATIONSHIP.

Yes, we are seeking to further
*know ourselves
*fraternize
*sharpen one another
*Entrench our relationship in Christ. ESPECIALLY as the days are approaching.

The key thing is the fulcrum that will drive this programme.-THE WORD OF GOD.

You will leave having rekindled your interest and learnt  unique ways to  grasp, learn and  really know his WORD.

One thing SCARES me and that is what the Youth President Martin Gyasi Yorke keeps emphasizing about this programme. There is something there I don't even know.

Praise the LORD, all nations! Extol him, all peoples! For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD!

So Exactly, a week today TRIUMPHANT PRAISE would have kicked off.

I'm sure by this time you would be in the house full of  unspeakable joy because you WOULDN'T HAVE only GLORIFIED GOD BUT WHATSOEVER BURDEN would have been taken away.
(You know exactly what to do then)

With about 5 days to go, let me tell you 5 reasons why Triumphant Praise will be GLORIOUS:

*I have seen a group of  God fearing &zealous youth who  just want to do something for God. (Prov.8:17)

*I have seen and experienced MONTHS of intense preparation and rehearsal.

* I believe Triumphant Praise (has become) will be an avenue God  will continually use the VERY YOUNG ONES to do Great things beyond imagination. ⚡

*I believe that God has something particular for YOU throughout the week and Triumphant Praise is definitely one

*I believe God is enthroned in the praise of  his people and SURELY he will MOVE

YOU KNOW WHAT?...I just got the information of how unsure you are just because God has called you not just into full time ministry but also NOT TO MARRY(EUNUCH)

YOU KNOW WHAT?...I have observed how people including christians in your neighbourhood point accusing fingers denigrate and talk ill of you as the worst person ever. YOU don't think you fit..Do you???

YOU KNOW WHAT?...I can see you are GIVING UP. The job is too hard, mission field is too persecuting. The relationship is just not working. This isn't  what you asked for.

There are a lot to things that happen to us- Things we are grappling with,so burdensome and simply unsurmountable.

Your troubles may not have been listed above but today, i want you to GO TO GOD in PRAYER and lay it ALL at his feet. He did it for those aforementioned, why not not you?..

One thing & bear this in mind- OUR GOD HAS ALREADY PROVIDED. BE STILL FOR HE IS GOD.

He says- 'Cast your burden upon him and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.(Psalm 55:22, I peter 5:7)

He says- 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Philippians 4:6)

And he is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work...(2 Corinthians 9:8)

This is the message Today.

'WHY CAN'T YOU SLEEP?'(Prov. 3:24)

Hehe... Okay, So tell me Why Can't you Sleep?

Is it because of the hardness of your bed, the witches in your family or that girl 'no'?

Oh sorry if I'm trivialising such a serious matter of yours. Come to think of it, it could be true oo.

For me I can't sleep because as always i have to get this devotion ready for you everyday.

So I can see you're thinking really hard this evening.

WHY CAN'T YOU SLEEP???

 

For many of us, we go to bed every night tossing, turning, fluffing &pounding the pillow. That is where we exert all our frustrations.

The Guilt,Joblessness, School fees, Utility expenses, Singlehood, Marriage issues, Constant failures, Fear of ejection, Fear of the devil & his witty schemes constitute a fraction of the many familiar reasons.

These gamut of issues raise their discorded ugly tunes every night keeping you company.

With these, HOW CAN YOU SLEEP? 

Indeed, practically many don't sleep  throughout the night. In fact, worrying and being consumed in deep thoughts have become a normal thing. They are TOTALLY CRIPPLED BY THE TROUBLES OF THIS LIFE. 

My simple question which is also an answer:
HOW HAS ALL THESE SOLVED YOUR PROBLEMS???

The Bible tells us in Matthew 6
"Can anyone of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?.... Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink....Is not life more than food..."

The Lord LOVES you.
He CARES about you.
He PERFECTLY UNDERSTANDS you.

Now it isn't that the Lord has not seen the many problems causing your inability to sleep. Yes, it is a heavy burden but beloved, many at times, we just worry too much.
The message is very simple- In those difficult times what God is asking you to do is Just to TRUST in him.

Trust that he who knows the number of hairs on your head always has you in mind and will bring all those storms to a smooth halt.

Just TRUST HIM...Let all the worries go. Remember, Worry has never been a Problem solver. It only comes to caress your problems whiles draining and sinking you further. In this case, the cheapest you will get is INSOMNIA.

Again, TRUST in Him, TRUST in his word which says:

Cast all your anxiety on him because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord Himself, is the Rock eternal.” (isaiah 26:3-4) 

"I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety."(Psalm 4:8)

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” (Psalm 56:3)

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak." (Isaiah 40:29)

"I call out to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me." (Psalm 3:4-5)

Therefore, whatever it is, the WORK-IS-IN-PROGRESS...In fact, it is almost done. Don't miss out just because the above title was repeatedly asked about you.
God has always given you a life of HOPE&FUTURE...A life to live to the FULLEST.

These are his words for you today. Go to Sleep trusting that God has this concerning you& is able to do all things. 

SO I SAY:
WHEN YOU LIE DOWN, YOU WILL NOT BE AFRAID;
WHEN YOU LIE DOWN, YOUR SLEEP WILL BE SWEET.(PROV.3:24-26)

'SAFE!'(Prov. 18:10)

To be SAFE is to be protected or not exposed to danger or risk. Not to be harmed or lost.

Also, A 'SAFE' is a strong fireproof cabinet with a complex lock used for keeping valuables.(Mostly, it's used by Security agencies&also in the Banking sectors)

As at 2010, U.S Bullion depository in Fort Knox, Kentucky was considered the SAFEST PLACE IN THE WORLD.
It is a fortified building that houses 5000 tons (147.3 million ounces) of Gold and other  precious items guarded by a 22-ton door& other sophisticated securities.

Yet there are still reports of break into the SAFE &numerous robbery attempts.

In 2015, Iceland was considered as the safest country in the world. Although with no standing army& its crime rate  on the minimal; it still records homicide cases& accidental shooting from time to time.

One revealing thing is that since the future is always unknown; researchers conceded finding the safest place the world over is a very arduous task.
You would only have to look at the bearest minimum of the crime rates, disasters, corruption et al. (Mind you the countries or places change at least every year)

Someone commented that Didn't they say Titanic was unsinkable until...

Beloved I am here to let You know that there can NEVER be a SAFE place in this world. Never let what they say, you see &the advanced technologies deceive you. I believe it is very clear how they continually fail us when we think they can't.

Jesus indicated that in John 16:33
'In this world, you will have trouble but take heart, I have overcome the world.

Of course, All things will pass away hence no wonder he's preparing a place for us which undoubtedly is the SAFEST. Bear in mind, that is a SURETY... That will never change (Heaven).

However, understand that it isn't the beauty, treasures and all the glorious things that wil make Heaven joyous and the safest. It is JUST BECAUSE GOD IS THERE!!!

And so yes as we wait to get to Heaven, should we still live here on earth in perpetual fear?

God didn't make it so. It is why he himself lives in us. His Holy Spirit is with us in this EVIL&UNSAFE world giving us peace &Joy regardless of WHATEVER...

As a christian, you live, walk, talk &do everything without fear. You may not know the future but you HAVE the one who knows & so you are SAFE!

Yes it is possible to be SAFE in this WORLD simply because YOU HAVE GOD IN &WITH YOU.

Psalm 4:8
In peace I will lie down and sleep,for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Psalm 27:1
The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life
of whom shall I be afraid?

FINALLY,

The name of the Lord is a strong (fortified) tower; the righteous run to it and are SAFE'

SO I SAY:
'SAFE!'... YES YOU ARE.

LISTENING (PART 2-THE GOD SIDE)

We continue with Part 2 of LISTENING. We looked at the Human side. This evening we touch on the GOD SIDE.

John 8:47
Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God.”

John 10:27-28
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish...

Proverbs 22:17
Pay attention and listen to the sayings of the wise; apply your heart to what I teach. 

These verses set the tone for our Listening (hearing) to our God. 

For the purpose of today's message, both Hearing &Listening will be of essence.

We need to be able to hear from God who is our father&talks to us all the time in our daily activities. 

Thereafter take our time to LISTEN to God's detailed words& instructions to carry out his mission&will.

Again, LISTENING requires concentration and the ability to accurately receive interpret messages.

God wants to fellowship& communicate with us. Communication is a two way affair.

It's the same with our relationship with God. He talks, we listen. We talk, He listens. (Prov.8:17)

God's word &his Holy spirit which inside of us are the key ways to hear&listen from God. 

The MAIN QUESTIONS now:
How do YOU hear from God?

Do you make time to listen to him??

In Part 3, we launch into the above questions.

However, remember that hearing or Listening from God is a skill or an art which is only dependent on YOUR  level of intimacy with GOD.
