'FAVOUR'(PART 1) (Luke 2:27-52)

And so from IGNORED?...yesterday we move to FAVOUR.

You know what? I've been wanting to write about it &so when I did IGNORED?.. yesterday it took me to FAVOUR right away.

FAVOUR?..As always let's look at what the definition says about it.
- Approval, support, or liking for someone or something.
-An act of kindness beyond what is due or out of generosityor mercy, prejudice, partiality.

Now just the latter part of the second definition is what intrigues me you know.
Clearly, before we go into the details, it shows that negative aspect of FAVOUR.

A lot of people show favour to others for various conditional reasons&that's where the prejudice&partiality come in. Mind you being generous is good but that in itself doesn't constitute FAVOUR.

Therefore, we look at what FAVOUR really is.(As we say Real or True FAVOUR)

These are my personal definitions:
-A Peculiar Shining light all around you. OR
-  One who is like that attractive& blossoming flower.
-It's a clear demonstration of God's approval or that God is with you. (More here later)

The Bible doesn't give a specific definition but there are various allusions to FAVOUR.

Our main verse will be in Luke 2 about Jesus.

There is that aspect of Favour where God chooses certain people out of his own mercies.  (Romans 9:15)

For some like Abraham& others,  it may not be clear but there is something rightfully underneath . 
For Mary, there was a clear basis for God's favour upon her.

This leads me to what many people think about FAVOUR. For some it is just there for every Christian.

Essentially for some it is about that special something that people see or want.
You just have to find a way or have to have that special something, features, mannerisms, personalities, spark... a..n..d that religiousity because God is also there you know.
THAT IS ALL FOR SOME.

Sorry but that is not the favour of God. The above is just that simple fleeting likeness that will wane with time.

Get this:
God's favour is also based on SOMETHING.  Something that YOU DO. Without it you DON'T GET IT EVEN AS A CHRISTIAN.

The good thing & the difference here is that he enables you to do that something & it is for all THOUGH NOT ALL DO IT OR AVAIL THEMSELVES FOR IT.

That something is to continue to BASK IN GOD'S GLORY ALL THE TIME.
