'HOW DO I LOOK?'(MATTHEW 23:23-31)

You saw me in church yesterday. How did I look?... ooh yea because on sundays we really put on our best. (Y3 hy3 da fa y3n ho)

Beloved, our concern for how we look is far serious& takes bulk of our time than we think. Some crave for compliments whiles others really ask for it.

With all these i want you to ask yourself this question:
'HOW DO I LOOK?'

Jesus in speaking to his disciples talked about the attitude of the pharisees which reflected the title today. (Matt.23:25-28 )

25 "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.

26 Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.

27 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean.

28  In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

The verses perfectly capture today's message. 

Essentially,What do you take in spiritually. How well do you treat the spirit being.

DAILY WORD STUDY,PRAYER & an INTIMACY with the HOLY SPIRIT is all we need to look good spiritually.

No matter how overtly beautiful/handsome you are, in spite of the spice or enhancement from (a lot of) make ups; something huge is taken away from you if you don't LOOK GOOD SPIRITUALLY.

A lot of extremely look good people are walking about looking extremely horrible&empty just because they've forsaken their spiritual looks.

Remember, in Proverbs when he says 'Beauty is deceptive and charm is fleeting but a woman who fears God is to be praised.'(APPLY TO ALL OF US)

I see a lot of people who may not have those natural endowments yet I'm drawn to them because they continually cleanse their inside which reflect their outside.

And so when you stand in front of the mirror, yes do look good 'paa' but you must do the things that make you see beyond the physical looks .(Matt.23:23)

Ooh the question-How do i look?... Don't  bother answering 'koraa' because apart from being a slim fit, handsome young....., I AM A REFLECTION OF CHRIST MOST IMPORTANTLY.

SO I SAY, ASK YOURSELF:
'HOW DO I LOOK?'
